You should now see your controller listed, check that this works correctly - the two trigger buttons will be set as axis', this is normal. Go to 'devices and printers' located in control panel. You should hear the windows sound for a device connecting. At the bottom of the window you should see a drop down menu called 'presets' click this and choose a preset (in my case I choose Controller (xbox360 wireless reciever for windows)). Once you have launched this file you will need to apply a profile to the controller, luckily there are some presets available. Plug the controller in, go to the dark souls installation folder and launch 'x360ce.exe' I'm assuming something went wrong in the Steamworks conversion.ĭont disable the HID-compliant game controller. When I get around to it I'm just going to uninstall the game and redownload it. Steam Controller is not working at all game runs fine otherwise using keyboard. After disabling the HID Game controller I found that the controller no longer worked for other games, such as, MGS: Ground Zeroes. that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available. This was after converting the existing installation to the Steamworks version.
